Mediation Theory

 

This online course provides learners with the opportunity to gain an understanding of the key theories underpinning mediation, and separately examine models of mediation. Learners will explore some of strengths and weaknesses behind the use of differing models of mediation and demonstrate how theory affects practice.

It is a one-day course suitable for those who have been trained as mediators.

  • Critically evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of these models

Who is this for?

Mediators who are interested in gaining a greater understanding of the theory behind the practice of mediation.

How you’ll be taught 

The course is highly interactive and you will learn through a combination of small group exercises, discussions together with shared learning from trainers. This course can be commissioned to be delivered in person at a suitable venue or online using either Zoom or Microsoft Teams. The May 2025 course will be delivered online, using Zoom.

This course is not assessed.
