Suitable for all who have an interest in restorative practice, this one-day workshop explores some of the key characteristics of conflict and the principles of restorative practice.  It outlines some of the aspects and skills learnt from the Centre’s six-day Restorative Skills course, approved by the Restorative Justice Council. Using group discussions, exercises and some limited role play, the training provides participants the opportunity to gain an understanding of:

  • the effects of conflict
  • How conflict develops
  • Formal and informal conflict resolution
  • Benefits of either mediation or restorative practice
  • The Restorative process
  • Restorative skills required of a facilitator
  • An outline of the restorative meeting
  • Restorative practice applications
