Restorative Practice

Sacro has been working in the field of restorative practice since the mid-1990s. During this time we have delivered adult Restorative Justice services, Youth Justice services and other restorative projects.
Sacro has delivered in-house restorative skills training for a number of years. In 2016 the Scottish Community Mediation Centre took over this role. Having refreshed the training materials and course structure, our Restorative Skills course was launched in 2017. Members of the public can now book a place on this Approved course.
It is easy to get confused with some of the terms used in restorative practice. Here we provide some definitions that we find helpful. We also provide links to useful resources and to our training.
