Scottish Community Mediation Network news

In May the latest meeting of the Scottish Community Mediation Network took place. Hosted by Scottish Mediation and supported by the Centre, Network members heard from community mediation and homelessness mediation services around Scotland. Discussions on new initiatives and current trends in mediation took place. The Network provides an opportunity for sharing best practice and service development initiatives with colleagues from across Scotland. 

Nowadays this meeting tends to be held online which allows members to join us from across Scotland. For example, a recent meeting was hosted by the Orkney service who introduced members to some of the complexities of delivering community mediation on the islands. The network provides accreditation schemes for services, mediators and training providers. More information can be found on our website at Service Accreditation

We look forward to working with the host to plan the next meeting, being held in October 2024.
