Out on tour!

Yesterday saw us back in Dundee, this time delivering the first day of our two-day Conflict Resolution course to staff and volunteers at the Hot Chocolate Trust.
This is just the latest example of where an organisation approaches us to commission a course.
There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes to make sure that the course runs smoothly. Once commissioned, we refine the course, tailoring it to meet the organisation’s needs. As the course gets closer, we keep them up to date with regular communications and offer another meeting, to check all the logistics are sorted and provide a space for answering any questions.
Two weeks before the course begins, we send out joining instructions and course handbooks. If the training is to be online, we arrange a short introductory session on Zoom/Microsoft Teams for each learner. This one-to-one introduction provides a background to how we use the online platform for training and a safe space to ask for learners to ask any questions they may have.
All this preparation leads to the start of the course. As well as helping participants learn new skills and techniques, we aim to create a safe and enjoyable space where they can ask questions, build confidence and practise what they have learned. We believe that investing in strong relationships with commissioners and learners adds real value to the training experience.
